Jaime Fenton, PhD

Life can be difficult. We frequently face challenges that push us to our limits, making it difficult to cope and see options. During hard times, it is helpful to have increased support and guidance. In my work, I strive to be empathic, encouraging and challenging, assisting clients in making significant life changes. I pride myself in being a strong listener who will work to understand you and respond without judgement. We will work as a team, collaborating on addressing your concerns.

I use a variety of research supported approaches tailored to each individual and am dedicated to helping clients reach their goals. Treatment approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal/Psychodynmic and Mindfulness.

My private practice focuses on the individual treatment of adolescents, college students and adults. Areas of expertise include anxiety, body image and eating disorders, depression, self-esteem, relationship concerns, and working with members of the LGBT community.

What can you expect from therapy with me?

-Time to put into words, thoughts, emotions, memories and experiences

-Exploration so that we may both better understand your struggles, leading to insight

-Feedback including encouragement and support

-Suggestions and strategies that are based on experience, theory and research

-Homework as change happens quickest when you're also working outside of sessions

I participate with several insurance plans: EHP, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and Magellan. If you have a different insurance plan, I provide receipts so that you may obtain reimbursement.
